OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2013. As he noted during the meeting with the journalists, in mid-2011, according to the results of the year, the company has incurred losses of 23,46 million lei. In 2012 Franzeluta obtained profits totaling 1.28 million lei and in 2013 higher profit is expected.

Victor Cojocaru also stressed that in accordance with the investment program for 2013-2017, in 2013 it is planned to invest about 60 million lei in technical modernization of production. The real volume of the investments amounted to 80 million lei, which will allow already in January 2014 to start a new line of the new products. Another 60 million lei in modernization and development of production is planned to invest in 2014.

Currently Franzeluta, being the largest producer of bread and bakery products in our country, produces more than 700 kinds of products; the company owns about 70% of the Moldovan market and 40-55% of the products are exported to Europe, Middle East and North America. The company employs 2,300 people. Daily Franzeluta produces 150-160 tons of bakery products; about 4% of social bread which is sold for 1.5 lei in specialized shops (cost of production- 4.5 lei).

Victor Cojocaru said that losses of the company from the production of social bread amount to 5.5 thousand lei per ton, and it is not known for sure if it is an object of speculation. In this regard, he called for transition to target compensations to the poor. Franzeluta company was founded in 1947, and 55,24% of its shares are state-owned.
