Special Commission to Test Quality of Alcoholic Products in Moldova
OREANDA-NEWS. December 23, 2013. A central tasting commission will test the quality of beer and alcoholic products. This is stipulated in a regulation on the way of organising and procedure of evaluation of the alcoholic products’ quality via the organoleptic method, approved by the government today.
The commission will be set under an order by the agriculture and food industry minister and will be made up of 21 people. The commission’s members will be selected on contest basis. Specialists with an experience in the area of at least five years may participate in the contest.
Deputy Agriculture and Food Industry Minister Sergiu Ghetiu said that the evaluation of products would be voluntary and decisions adopted by the commission following the assessment would serve as recommendations.
The commission will not evaluate also the wines’ quality. Ghetiu specified that a wine tasting commission would be later created later under the National Vine and Wine Office.
