OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2013. The Spherical Tank Project of Zhejiang Satellite Energy Co., Ltd. passed through acceptance inspection.

As the largest propylene/propane spherical tank group in China, this project was undertaken by China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group), consisting of eight propylene spherical tanks (each with a capacity of 4,000 cubic meters) and four propane spherical tanks (each with a capacity of 6,000 cubic meters).

All these tanks are built for storage of propylene and propane products. The propylene spherical tank is the largest one in China in terms of its capacity, which is designed with a diameter of 19,700mm, designed pressure of 2.16 MPa, designed temperature of -19-50?, a plate thickness of 47mm and a net weight of 504 tons. The propane spherical tank is designed with a diameter of 22,600mm, designed pressure of 1.77 MPa, designed temperature of -19-50?, a plate thickness of 52mm and a net weight of 738 tons.

The project implementation was commenced in October 2012 and completed in December 2013, with a construction period of 14 months.
