OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2013. Significant attention in the State Budget is paid to the development of the regions. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov emphasized at the session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine

“According to the commission of the President in the budget of the next year significant attention is paid to the development of the regions. The general resource of the local budgets has been increased by UAH 15 billion as compared to 2013, including raised salaries and payment for energy carriers and realization of the regional programs,” the Head of Government stressed.

Moreover, he informed that on implementation of a commission by the President of Ukraine there had been envisaged UAH 594 mln to enlarge a network of preschool educational facilities, modernization of children’s sports grounds located on the territories of secondary and preschool educational institutions. The State regional development fund has been increased almost fourfold against 2013. Overall investment resource for the social and economic development of the territories will amount almost UAH 16 bln in the following year.

According to Mykola Azarov, the state capital expenses have been upped by UAH 2 bln as compared to 2013. Besides, to ensure realization of the State program of activization of the economy there has been planned state guarantees to the tune of UAH 50 bln.
