McKesson Earns Top Marks in 2014 Corporate Equality Index
OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2013. McKesson Corporation proudly announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

McKesson is committed to establishing and evolving policies and practices that support lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) employees and their families. Over the past several years, OPEN, McKesson’s LGBT and Straight Ally Employee Resource Group, has led a number of efforts to create an environment in which all employees can feel fully included, heard and respected in bringing their whole selves to work.

The 2014 CEI rated 934 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. McKesson’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulting in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
