OREANDA-NEWS. The Taganrog Boiler-Making Works "Krasny Kotelshchik", a member of the power plant concern OJSC Power Machines, has shipped the last product shipment for modernization of the Boiler TP-100 of the Unit No.12 of Starobeshevskaya TPP (Ukraine).

The Contract for designing, manufacturing and supply of gas-tight water walls of the boiler furnace with suspensions, buckstays, sealings, and modernized burners, as well as for rendering services for erection supervision was signed in November 2012. The equipment customer is PJSC Donbassenergo (Ukraine). The scope of PJSC Krasny Kotelshchik obligations includes development of engineering documentation, manufacturing and shipment of equipment. 

The main purpose of the project is boiler technical re-equipment for combustion of coal of rank АШ ("anthracite fines") with calorific value from 5400 kcal/kg and 5100 kcal/kg and higher. Design of the following boiler assemblies was changed at designing: furnace suspension system, dividing water wall, hopper fastenings, platforms and stairs in the area of the burners. Modernization also includes installation of new vortex pulverized-coal gas burners and completing parts providing uniform air flow per burners and possibility of optimal burning process organization. Besides, radiant superheater and steam-circulating tubes’ recovery was taken into account while developing the project.   

Possibility to combust coal of rank АШ will allow to raise technical and economic performance of the Power Unit of Starobeshevskaya TPP and the operation reliability of the plant in whole.

We remind that earlier the plant was designing, manufacturing, and supplying the equipment within the framework of modernization of the Units Nos. 5, 11 and 13 of Starobeshevskaya TPP.
