OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus was there to witness a 1.6% inflation growth in November 2013, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said.

In January-November consumer prices have grown 13.8%: October - 1.9%, September 1.7%, August - 0.1%, July - 1%, June - 0.3%, May - 0.7%, April - 0.5%, March - 1.1%, February - 1.2%, January - 3%, Belstat informed.

Food prices grew 1.2% in November (up 10.9% in Jan-Nov).

The price of the following food products went down in November: vegetable oil - down 1% (down 3.8% in Jan-Nov).

The price of the following food products went up in November: vegetables - up 4.6% (+5.7% in Jan-Nov 2013), pasta - up 3.1% (+23.2%), eggs - up 3.3% (+21%), flour - up 5.3% (+41.5%), bread and bakery goods - up 2% (+15%), potatoes - up 5.6% (+71.7%), fruits - up 2.4% (+3.5%), confectionery goods - up 1.3% (+8.8%), tobaccos - up 0.9% (+57.3%).

Non-food prices grew 0.6% on the month in November 2013 (up 6.8% from the level of December 2013).

Prices of bicycles and motorbikes grew 0.4% on the month in November (up 9.1% the level of December 2013), footwear - up 0.1% (up 3.3%), medications - up 1.3% (up 11%), clothing - up 0.6% (up 3.3%), construction materials - up 0.6% (up 7.2%), consumer electronics - up 0.4% (up 3.6%), furniture - 1% (up 4.7%), carpets - up 0.4% (up 4.5%), perfumes and cosmetics - up 0.7% (up 6.4%), fabrics - up 0.5% (up 4.9%).

Utility tariffs grew 3.7% on the month in November 2013 (32.6% in Jan-Nov).

Tariffs on household services grew 4% on the month in November 2013 (up 36.7% in Jan-Nov): gas - up 28% (+31.9%), water supply - up 1.5% (+14.7%).

Passenger tariffs grew 2.6% on the month (up 33.7% in Jan-Oct), medical services - up 0.8% (up 22.4%).

Belarus' government had expected inflation growth to stay under 12% in 2013. Belarus' consumer prices grew 21.8% in 2012, while the government's forecast stood at 19-22%.
