OREANDA-NEWS. NTT DOCOMO, INC., a personalized mobile solutions provider for smarter living, announced today that it has extended its business tie-up with China's largest mobile operator, China Mobile Communications Corporation, and South Korea's leading telecom operator, KT Corporation, until January 2017. The tie-up originally was established in January 2011.

The extension paves the way for the accelerated deployment of international LTE roaming services in China, Japan and Korea, starting with the December 2nd launch of KT's data roaming service, which enables KT subscribers to enjoy DOCOMO's high-speed LTE data communication while traveling in Japan.

DOCOMO has been collaborating closely with China Mobile and KT through their business tie-up, which so far has included developing common specifications for international NFC roaming services, laying out a cross-border scheme for Wi-Fi roaming services in the three countries and providing Japanese mobile content for China Mobile's portal, Mobile Market and KT's Olleh Market portal.

Going forward, DOCOMO expects to work even more closely with its Chinese and Korean business partners in a wide range of service areas for the greater convenience of increasing users in the three countries.
