OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2013. Signing by Ukraine of the Association Agreement during the Summit in Vilnius without holding the negotiations concerning normalization of trade-economic relations with the states of the Customs Union in 2014 would increase a Ukrainian negative balance with the states of the Customs Union up to USD 15 bln.

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov announced.

“In September the three countries of the Customs Union approved a decision that in case the agreement on free trade area with the European Union was signed, Ukraine would lose advantages of a free trade area with the CIS member countries. During the year it would add to the negative balance another USD 8 billion. And then the negative balance of trade with the countries of the Customs Union in 2014 would make up USD 15 billion,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine stated.
