OREANDA-NEWS. December 18, 2013. Incheon International Airport Corporation was awarded with ‘Environment Award’ at ‘Korea Environment•Energy 2013 Award’ ceremony, which was held at Ramada Hotel, Seoul.

This award is given to a distinguished academic or an enterprise with a great contribution to the development of the environment energy technology and industry. This event is hosted by the ‘Korea Green Environment Energy Management Committee’, composed of related governmental office and public enterprises representatives, distinguished scholars in this field and sponsored by Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning.

Incheon Airport Corporation was recognized for its contribution to the development of ecofriendly energy technology and the reduction of greenhouse gas and air pollution substances and chosen as the award winning enterprise in the Environment nomination of the Minister of Environment Prize.

Incheon Airport Corporation has also succeeded in the development of low-emission products along with domestic small and middle enterprises as well as operated the facilities for waste incineration in the airport.
