Inflation Rate in Moldova Amounts to 0,8% in November
OREANDA-NEWS. December 12, 2013. As it was informed in the National Bureau of statistics, inflation for the last 12 months (since November 2012 to November 2013) amounted to 4.9% compared to 3.7% in November 2011- November 2012. In November of the last year the inflation rate amounted to 0.5% and in January-November- to 3.5%, respectively.
According to NBS, inflation in November 2013 was due to the increase in prices of the food products by 0.8%, non-foodstuffs - by 0.5% and tariffs for services rendered to population – by 1%. According to official statistics, in November 2013, the price of grapes increased by 14.4%, fresh vegetables - by 5.5%. Prices for tomatoes grew by 23.4%, sweet pepper - by 21.6%, cucumbers - by 6.6%. Prices for potatoes increased by 7.2%, fat – by 2%, butter - by 1.7%, cheese - by 1.3%.
Prices for sour cream, cheese and salt cheese grew by 1.2%. At the same time, the prices for citruses fell by 11.6%, fresh cabbage - by 9.8%, beet - by 4.9%, exotic fruits - by 4.8%, carrots-by 4.2%, eggs - by 3.2%, wheat flour - by 2.4%, vegetable oil - by 1.1%, fresh and frozen fish – by 1%, sugar - by 0.4%. The prices for firewood grew by 1.8%, liquefied petroleum gas in cylinders - by 1.4%, winter boots for children - by 1.8%, clothes - by 0.7%.
At the same time, in November 2013, prices for fuel fell by 0.8%, children's and men's summer sandals - by 0.4% and 0.3%, respectively, swimwear -by 0,2%, women’s sandals, chairs, phones, faxes and other devices for remote communications - by 0.1%. Tariffs for long distance bus transportations increased by 26.3%, foreign tourism services-by 4.2%. Tariffs for kindergarten and nursery services grew by 1.6%, housing payments- by 1.3% and tariffs for ritual services-by 1.2%.
