Jin Mao Tower Wins LEED-EB Gold Certification
OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2013. Jin Mao Tower, a landmark building in Shanghai owned by Franshion Properties (China) Limited (Franshion Properties for short), a Hong Kong listed company controlled by Sinochem Group, successfully won the LEED-EB Gold Certification recently, thus setting the record as the existing LEED-EB certified architecture with the longest running history and the highest altitude in China.
Over the recent decade, Jin Mao Tower has made many pioneering attempts in green operation and accumulated rich experience in this regard.
In 2000, Jin Mao Tower took the lead in implementing energy management contract in the nation and thus became the first commercial building in China to pass energy management system authentication in December 2012 with full recognition gained from USGBC and GBCI, two authoritative organizations for green buildings in the world.
