Logging in Russia Falls by 2,6% in Jan-Oct 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. December 11, 2013. In January-October 2013, logging in Russia declined by 2.6% year on year, as Federal Customs Service of Russia said in the press release received by Lesprom Network.
In October 2013, Russia was harvested 4.8 million cubic metres of softwood logs, 1.5 million cubic metres of hardwood logs, 900 thousands cubic metres of fuelwood and 700 thousands cubic metres of untreated wood.
In the first ten month of the year, harvesting of softwood logs fell 2.9% year over year, harvesting of hardwood logs down 0.1%, fuelwood decreased by 11.1%, untreated wood decreased by 1%.
