OREANDA-NEWS. Alcoa Russia has presented professional awards to the company's business partners for significant achievements in joint projects. The official ceremony gathered top-managers of over 50 leading Russian companies. Traditionally, Alcoa customers represent various economic sectors: aerospace, oil and gas, shipbuilding, ground transportation, packaging, building and construction, household appliances - all sectors that use aluminum as a material or a technical solution for manufacturing their end products.

Greeting the guests, Maxim Smirnov, Alcoa Russia President, said: “Alcoa Constellation is more than a professional recognition. The awards are also a platform to discuss metallurgical trends and forecasts. Opinions exchanged help our companies increase their competitive stability on the market. For Alcoa, it is a good opportunity to express respect and gratitude to our partners. A long-term history of the global company is built on projects implemented by Alcoa customers using Alcoa products or technology, and we are glad to continue the tradition to benefit the Russian economy”.

Ilya Vishnevskiy, Commercial Director Alcoa Russia, noted: “Currently many economic sectors tend to prefer aluminum to other materials manufacturing the end products, and we are ready to meet this growing market demand. We pay attention to the feedback we receive as part of an annual customer survey and of course we go back to other customers with progress reports. That is why Alcoa Constellation Award is an occasion for us to emphasize once again how important this cooperation is to us. This partnership dialogue helps us hear the customers' expectations and offer solutions to provide their competitive advantage in the market.

A presentation of an invited expert has become traditional at Alcoa Constellation Award. Alexander Kareevsky, economic observer and TV reporter, told the guests about perspectives and key events in Russian and world economics.

This year's awards ceremony gave a nod to Alcoa's 125th anniversary. A printed souvenir brochure provided a brief historic overview to the guests together with facts about Alcoa Russia operations, interesting facts about aluminum reflecting key milestones of the global company and innovative solutions in many sectors.

Presentation of the professional awards became the centerpiece of the ceremony. Representatives of the winning companies received their awards from Maxim Smirnov, Alcoa Russia President, and Ilya Vishnevskiy, Commercial Director Alcoa Russia.
