Kazakh PM Visits Specialized Public Service Center in Astana
OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2013. Kazakh Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov familiarized with the work of the specialized public service center (PSC) that has been recently opened pursuant to the President's instruction to transfer services for registration of vehicles and drivers' licenses to the jurisdiction of public service centers.
Minister of Transport and Communications A Zhumagaliyev and Minister of Internal Affairs K.Kasymov told about the functional features of the public service center and its major divisions.
In addition to the information center the specialized public service center has the vehicle test track and two hangars. Anyone can take both theoretical and practical exams on knowledge of traffic rules, get a driver's license, license plate and register a vehicle. The time of issuing the documents reduced. If previously the vehicle registration required 6 hours, now it takes 1.5 hours.
Since the opening of the specialized PSC over 3,500 driving licenses have been issued, over 17 thousand vehicles have been registered.
Specialized PSCs were also opened in Almaty, Aktau, and Karaganda. Until the end of the year it is planned to open a similar center in Taraz .
The Prime Minister gave a number of relevant instructions to authorized bodies.
