OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2013. The President urged Chinese investors to cooperate with Ukrainian partners more actively.

“I urge all the participants of today’s forum to evaluate the prospects of your participation in the development of bilateral investment cooperation and look for the new forms of interaction in the given sphere, particularly with the use of state-private partnership mechanism,” Viktor Yanukovych said at the second Ukrainian-Chinese business-forum.

The Head of State noted that Ukraine counted on the participation of Chinese corporations in sectoral programs, particularly on the construction of power plants, modernization of Ukrainian mines, joint manufacturing of cars, construction of modern elevators and establishment of telecommunication networks.

“Ukraine is willing to develop cooperation with China in the mining industry. Our enterprises are ready to actively participate in the construction and modernization of mines and establish joint enterprises on the production of highly productive mining equipment in China,” Viktor Yanukovych emphasized.

According to the President, agreements signed between the interested companies of Ukraine and China in the course of the business-forum will provide practical sense to economic cooperation and implementation of other mutually beneficial programs and projects.

“The most important task for Ukraine and China is the establishment of favorable conditions for closer productive cooperation between business entities. I would like to wish the organizers and the participants of the forum a fruitful work, new interesting contacts and success for the benefit of Ukraine and China,” the Head of State noted.
