OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2013. There have been signed three memorandums, an agreement and a huge commercial contract on the outcomes of Ukrainian-Chinese business forum which took place in the framework of an official visit of the President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych to the People’s Republic of China.

“Ukraine has obtained clear prospects of cooperation with the Chinese party in the area of design, production and technical service of aviation equipment, railway movable stock (in the frames of the Air Express National Project), building of port infrastructure,” the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Ihor Prasolov informed.

According to him, there will be activated cooperation between business circles of the parties. For instance, Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs has agreed on such cooperation with China International Contractors Association. Owing to the signed commercial deal Ukraine plans to increase export of foodstuffs, in particular of oil, to China.

“Activity of Chinese and Ukrainian business circles proves there exists significant potential of cooperation between our countries in advanced technologies, infrastructure development and agriculture,” the Minister stressed.

He considers activation of cooperation at the level of business structures will also afford Ukraine to enter new markets of China, diversify supplies of export production and balance bilateral trade turnover.

Over 200 leading Ukrainian and Chinese companies representing almost every economic direction have taken part in work of the business forum.
