OREANDA-NEWS. Post Modern Technology (PMT), a member of Armada Group (MICEX-RTS: ARMD), announces the use of telemedical resources of medical information system MEDIALOG in medical institutions of the Kursk region. The work of the solution in practice was demonstrated on November 21 to Mrs. Stadchenko, a Chairman of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund, in the course of her visit to the region.

The visit was related to implementation of purposes and goals defined by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation as related to the development of distant information systems. During the visit to Regional Perinatal Center Mrs. Stadchenko reviewed the work of the family health care protection and reproduction center, the electronic registrar, the regional information system of obstetrics aid automation (which allows to remotely control the care for pregnant women in maternity welfare clinics of the Kursk region) and visited the educational center in which obstetricians-gynecologists, neonatology physicians, anesthesiologists and paramedical workers are trained in health care delivery skills.

The telemedical resources of MIS MEDIALOG ensure connection of portable equipment for definition and registration of ECG, encephalography, spirography, Holter monitoring, blood pressure, for definition of ocular tension, cholesterol, blood glucose level, clinical urine analysis, etc. System has been demonstrated in Medvenskaya Central District Hospital on the base of Verkhnedubovitsky Medical and Obsteric Center.

The ECG of a patient was made in home conditions with subsequent transfer of data through the Internet to the working place of the physician dealing with functional diagnostics of Medvenskaya Central District Hospital. After interpretation of the results the physician in turn sent the interpretation in the electronic form to the primary care physician of the patient in the form of an entry in his electronic medical record.

At the end of the visit Mrs. Stadchenko together with Mr. Ryazansky met with Mr. Mikhailov, the Governor of the Kursk region. In the course of this meeting the pilot project related to implementation of telemedical technologies in rural health care which is being realized on the territory of Kursk region was discussed.
