OREANDA-NEWS. Passenger traffic continues to rise at Charlotte Douglas, a trend that has been consistent throughout 2013. The latest numbers show a 5 percent increase from January – October 2013. During that time period, 36.24 million travelers visited the Airport compared to 34.40 million passengers during that same time period last year.

Cargo activity experienced a 2 percent increase, rising from 105,860 tons last year (January – October 2012) to 108,211 tons this year (January – October 2013).  

Operations had a 1 percent jump, overseeing 466,458 landings and departures from January of this year through October compared to 461,562 during that same time span in 2012.

CLT continues on the path to surpass 2012’s record breaking year of 41.23 million passengers and 552,093 operations.
