OREANDA-NEWS. Metalware output of Zhlobin-based Belarusian Metallurgical Plant (BMZ) amounted to 349,723 tonnes in January-October 2013, up 7.8% on the year, an official with the plant told.

In October alone the output of metal goods totalled 35,933 tonnes (9.5% up on the year).

Metal cord output went up 12.4% to 70,025 tonnes. Bead wire output grew 31.4% to 32,525 tonnes.

Steel wire output amounted to 218,211 tonnes, up 3.6% year-on-year.

State company Belarusian Metallurgical Plant was launched in 1984. BMZ exports about 85% of its output. Non-CIS countries account for more than 70% of the BMZ's exports.
