IBA Group Participated in Bank IT’ 13
OREANDA-NEWS. December 04, 2013. IBA Minsk, IBA IT Park, and the IBA Training Center participated in the 10th international forum on banking information technologies BankIT’13 held in Minsk, Belarus. IBA Group was a platinum sponsor of the event and presented new finance solutions.
Organized by the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus, the scientific and technological association Infopark, and the Association of Belarusian Banks, the forum was aimed at discussing how to improve the efficiency of the finance and credit system of the Republic of Belarus through the use of advanced information technologies.
This year, BankIT celebrated its 10th anniversary. In this regard, the timeframe of the 10th BankIT edition was extended up to three days. The program of the forum included plenary meetings, panel discussions, and breakout sessions on the following topics:
Day 1: The latest trends in the banking industry and their impact on banking IT
Day 2: IT as a business generating function
Day 3: IT as a business supporting function.
Sergei Levteev, IBA Group Chairman, spoke at a press conference that was held within the forum.
At the plenary meeting and breakout sessions, IBA Group delivered the following presentations:

At the IBA Group’s stand, the participants had a possibility to learn more and receive professional consultations on IBA services and solutions for the banking sector.
In addition, IBA Group organized an IBM vendor section where IBM EE/A delivered a presentation on IBM System z, a reliable platform for business critical applications.
Levteev comments: “At the forum, IBA Group presented both front and back office solutions, tools that a modern bank is not able to operate without. We also showcased our best practices and software products that will be increasingly in demand. These are mobile and cloud technologies and solutions for predictive analytics. It is also a contactless technology, which is very promising for Belarus. Contactless cards can be used as bank cards, tickets, and insurance certificates. Such technologies have long been used effectively in the neighboring countries.”
This year, more than 1,200 experts from 14 countries attended BankIT.
