OREANDA-NEWS. Belarusian Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich reckons the CIS states should pay more attention to the protection of the common internal market, synchronize their industrial development policies and establish transnational corporations.

Myasnikovich suggests making a better use of the integration potential and create industrial financial groups, joint companies and transnational corporations in the framework of the CIS and the Customs Union.

In turn, Russian Premier Dmitri Medvedev would not support the idea of synchronizing the economic policies of the CIS states. “A single industrial policy is a term that is equally as misleading as a planned economy. We already have the Customs Union. Things will be fine, if we have a common market and single technical regulations,” Medvedev said following the meeting of the CIS premiers in St Petersburg on Wednesday.
