Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan to Protect Secret Information
OREANDA-NEWS. December 02, 2013. The Government endorsed a draft Law of Ukraine “On ratification of an Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Kyrgyzstan on mutual protection of secret information” and approved an order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine “On submission for ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine an Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Government of Kyrgyzstan on mutual protection of secret information”.
The abovementioned inter-governmental Agreement was signed in Bishkek on May 15, 2013. Pursuant to the given authority the Agreement was inked by deputy Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Lieutenant General Volodymyr Porodko from the Ukrainian side and head of the State Committee of National Security of Kyrgyzstan Major-General Beyshenbay Zhunusov from the Kyrgyz side.
Pursuant to the legislation of our country such Agreement undergoes ratification by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
With this aim the Security Service of Ukraine prepared projects of the mentioned documents and agreed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
Ratification of the Agreement by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine shall create legal grounds for mutual protection of secret information, facilitate enlargement of areas of mutually beneficial cooperation between Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.
