Aegean Airlines Starts New Service form Copenhagen to Athens
OREANDA-NEWS. Greek-based Aegean Airlines is going to open a new service between Copenhagen and Athens in May 2014. Following the opening of the new service, all European Star Alliance airlines will fly to Copenhagen, supporting Copenhagen Airport's position as one of Europe's strongest Star Alliance hubs.
Travellers from Denmark and southern Sweden will have even better connections to Athens and the Greek islands when Greek-based Aegean Airlines opens its new service between Athens and Copenhagen on 22 May 2014. Aegean will have three weekly frequencies between the capitals of Greece and Denmark, and the Greek airline's regional network offers passengers good connections out of Athens.
Aegean's flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and the airline will use Airbus A320s seating 168 passengers on the service.
After Aegean's entry on the Danish market, all European Star Alliance airlines will fly to Copenhagen, supporting Copenhagen Airport's position as the third-biggest Star Alliance hub in the EU and the key transport hub of Northern Europe.
