Ukraine Prolongs Adaptation of Legislation with EU Norms
OREANDA-NEWS. November 29, 2013. At its session on November 27 the Cabinet of Ministers is to consider a draft Law of Ukraine “On the list of administrative services and payment (administrative fees) for rendering the services”, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov stressed starting the Governmental sitting.
Realization of norms of this law shall secure citizens and entrepreneurs from imposing them of non-statutory administrative services and afford to avoid excessive expenses for receiving the services.
“According to an expert conclusion of the Justice Ministry this project belongs to priority spheres of adaptation of Ukraine’s legislation with the legislation of the European Union. Therefore, the Government supports Eurointegration course by daily system work directed to adaptation of the national legislation with the EU law,” Mykola Azarov informed.
Moreover, the Government will make changes to an order of informing by centers of free secondary legal assistance. In accordance with the changes a right to obtain such information will be received by just detained persons, their family members and close relatives.
“It is one more step in improvement of the acting mechanism of realization of a constitutional right of every Ukrainian citizen to receive legal assistance which has been introduced in order to ensure proper implementation by Ukraine of its international liabilities in the area of human rights, including those that arise from its membership in the Council of Europe,” Mykola Azarov noted.
Besides, targeting stirred up transition of national enterprises to the global standards in energy saving the Government will reconsider the list of energy-saving materials, equipment and components imported to the territory of Ukraine on privileged conditions.
There will be also discussed legislative changes that afford to activate paying off a debt caused by difference in tariffs for heat energy, services of centralized water supply and water communications. It is an extremely significant issue in the context of reducing debts for the consumed natural gas.
In addition, there will be approved today to further submit to the Verkhovna Rada the draft laws on ratification of agreements between the governments of Ukraine and:
- Republic of Kazakhstan on industrial cooperation in aircraft construction;
- Ireland on avoiding of double taxation and preventing of tax evasion concerning income tax and income from alienation of property;
- Slovakia on military burial sites.
Apart from that the Cabinet of Ministers is to consider other issues of social and economic development of Ukraine.
