OREANDA-NEWS. The LOTOS Group was declared 'A Well-Perceived Company' in this year's edition of a contest organised by the Business Centre Club. The company was awarded in two categories - strategy and communication.

The purpose of the 'A Well-Perceived Company' contest is to honour companies which conduct their business in a socially-responsible manner and promote knowledge of corporate social responsibility and effective methods of its communication.

The grand finale of the contest's 4th edition took place in the Business Centre Club's offices in Warsaw. During the gala, 29 contestants were awarded in the following categories: Social engagement, Ecology, Market and workplace, Strategy and communication. Apart from the awardees, the ceremony was attended by the jurors, representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, BCC chancellors, as well as individuals committed to the concept of corporate social responsibility.

"Declaring us 'A Well-Perceived Company' acknowledges the effectiveness of the CSR strategies in place at the LOTOS Group. The jurors considered our dedication to pursuing CSR goals in various areas, such as ecology, the market, and charitable work. We also received recognition for our internal and external methods of communication," says Jowita Twardowska, Communication & CSR Director at the LOTOS Group, who accepted the award for the company during the gala.

The contest is a successor to the 'CSR - A Tool for Creating Positive Corporate Image' initiative, which ran from 2009 to 2011. The contest jury was composed of various authorities on corporate social responsibility, devoted to actively pursuing and promoting its concepts. Contest participants were evaluated based on special surveys of basic information on each company's efforts to implement the ideas of corporate social responsibility. The title of 'A Well-Perceived Company' is awarded to Business Centre Club's members, which may be privately-held or state-owned companies or their branches. Organised under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, the contest is nationwide in scope.
