OREANDA-NEWS. The CSR portal of SCM Group has a new section that enables residents of the cities of SCM Group's operations to keep an online track of social projects planned or rolled out as a part of the Social Partnership Programme.

The initiative includes the projects covered in social partnership agreements between local communities and SCM Group's businesses. With this programme, we seek to create comfortable living and working conditions in the regions where our businesses operate as many of SCM's companies are the key employers and taxpayers in their cities and towns. The state of infrastructure, public utilities, health care, education, culture, sports and environment shapes the quality of life and performance of our employees.

“SCM's shareholder Rinat Akhmetov has set a goal to ensure effective business performance and high living standards for our local communities. It is obvious that we can deliver on this goal only if business closely cooperates with local government and communities. Our companies and local communities have worked to identify the most important social goals and projects for several years. They become a part of social partnership agreements and receive funding from SCM businesses,” said Natalia Yemchenko, SCM's Director of Public Relations and Communications. “We do understand the importance of transparency for social partnership, therefore we need to inform the local communities of our projects and their progress. For the first time ever we have put together all our social responsibilities to the cities and towns and their residents and reported on their progress. The implemented projects have been outlined and described in detail, others have a brief description yet. We will keep improving our reports to make them as clear, informative and convenient for our audience as possible.”
