OREANDA-NEWS. DTEK has gained control over the Ukrainian engineering company Elektronaladka. The new enterprise will make it possible to centralize management of large-scale energy equipment modernization and new TPP power units’ construction projects, as well as to improve the investment efficiency.

Since 1 November 2013, DTEK Holdings BV has been the participant of Elektronaladka LLC having obtained all the necessary permits from the anti-monopoly authorities and state registration of the Company’s amended articles of association. Evgeny Bogomolsky who previously held the office of the Large Projects Director of DTEK has been elected the director of Elektronaladka.

Currently, Elektronaladka employs 378 persons. The Company specializes in the area of design, installation, start-up and commissioning, service maintenance and diagnostics of power facilities of all voltage classes. The Company performed high-tech projects for introduction of up-to-date power unit control and management systems based on hardware and software suites from the well-known world manufacturers, replacement of electrical equipment using solutions and products of the leading European vendors.

‘Elektronaladka will manage projects of large-scale modernization and capital construction at TPPs that are part of DTEK. Centralization of this function within a specialized subdivision will enable us to make optimal decisions for technology selection, implementation timing, risk management and quality assurance,’ said the CEO of DTEK Maxim Timchenko. ‘For the period of 2007-2020, we planned to upgrade 40 power units of our TPPs. 12 power units have been upgraded so far and four more are currently underway. Modernization of one more unit will commence before the end of the current year. All in all, in the period between 2007 and 2020 DTEK will invest over UAH 20 billion into its TPP energy equipment modernization program.’
