Tavros Migrates to CROC's Cloud in Just Five Days
OREANDA-NEWS. Tavros Management Company has migrated its non-core assets - almost all IT infrastructure components - into CROC's Virtual Data Center in just five days.
“It's now several months since the completion of the project and we can see that we have dramatically reduced IT costs. All computer capacities, software, support services, and data backup services are now provided on a monthly payment basis: this allows for the avoidance of any capital costs. In addition, we do not have to worry about hardware upgrades or server administration as all these tasks are the responsibility of CROC,” says Alexander Kocherygin, responsible for IT operations at Tavros.
As part of the project, CROC suggested an organizational approach which allowed for project cost reduction. The customer can now forecast any increase or reduction in computer capacity costs because the services are provided according to pre-approved service rates. Therefore, the monthly billing totals are easily projected in the case of changes in user number, mailbox size, or server capacity.
“The working team had a task to design the company's cloud IT architecture, deploy cloud IT infrastructure, and enable the complete migration of our services as well as the data of approximately 100 users from four sites,” says Dmitry Krainov, Tavros IT Manager.
“CROC's team has proven that, firstly, an idealistic scenario of full migration into the cloud is more than realistic, and secondly, that it can be carried out in less than a week. Convenient infrastructure maintenance and reliability are the key cloud drivers and I am sure that such services will become more and more popular every year,” says Ruslan Zaedinov, Deputy Director General and Head of Cloud Solutions, CROC.
