OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2013. The Government is to consider the National strategy of regional development up to 2020. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov informed during a session of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“Among today’s questions in the agenda that are to determine priorities of the state policy for average term is the National strategy of regional development through 2020, submitted for considering by the Ministry of Economic Development,” Mykola Azarov said. “The document is of extreme importance as the strategy has to ensure creating conditions for dynamic well-balanced development of Ukraine and the regions in securing their social and economic unity, improvement of living standards and creating conditions for receiving by Ukraine’s citizens of high-quality social services irrespective of the place of residence”.

Moreover, the Government plans to approve a concept National target regional program of development of Ukrainian Danube region for 2014-2017 which is directed to raising effectiveness of usage of domestic natural resource potential, solving of environmental and social-economic problems taking into account interests of the residents.
