OREANDA-NEWS. November 25, 2013. “DESK” OJSC paid 300,000 RUB as a fine imposed by the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of Dagestan (Dagestan OFAS Russia) for violating the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

Earlier Dagestan OFAS Russia received a petition from “Buinaksk Town Grammar School” Municipal State-Owned Educational Institution about unreasonable switching offs of electric power without advance warnings.

OFAS initiated a case against “DESK” OJSC upon signs of violating the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, and found that the company violated the Law. Having investigated the case, OFAS imposed a fine - 300,000 RUB.

The energy supplier challenged the determination of the antimonopoly body by filing a claim to Dagestan Arbitration Court and then lodging an appeal to the 16th Arbitration Appeal Court. However, both Courts dismissed the claim and the appeal.

“DESK” OJSC has paid the turnover fine in full. The timely payment allowed the energy supplier to avoid doubling the fine“, commented the Head of Dagestan OFAS Russia, Kurban Kubasaev.
