OREANDA-NEWS.  In November 2013, at the Integrated Iron and Steel Works “Zaporizhstal”, a complex of maintenance of the main equipment in a blast furnace, rolling and energy production of the plant was realized as a part of modernization program of the Metinvest Group. The total amount of the investments directed to the complex of maintenance is 62,3 mln. grn.

During 10 days at the Integrated Iron and Steel Works “Zaporizhstal” the planned reconstructive maintenances of the main machines of the blast furnace, rolling production and energy facilities of the plant were realized. The main objects of the maintenance are three Blast Furnaces, slab-mill “1150” of the cogging shop, continuous thin-sheet mill (1680) of the hot rolling shop and some energy facilities of the plant.

“The uniqueness of the realized maintenance is in simultaneous settlement of the maintenance on mainstream production technologies, without interruption of the plant production. We have finished high quality repair before the scheduled day, considering all technical requirements.” -stated the General Director of the plant Rostislav Shurma.

Due to realization of the maintenance complex the operational life and equipment reliability were restored, the interrepair time was increased, what, eventually, influences the quality of the manufactured production. To carry out the complex of maintenance the production shops and contracting organizations were involved, total about 1600 people.
