OREANDA-NEWS.  In Jan.-Oct., a total of 71,227 patents were applied for approval by persons from Anhui, up 21% year on year, according to Anhui Provincial Intellectual Property Office.

In the first ten months, Anhui applied 23,806 invention patents for approval, up 73.7% year on year, ranking 3rd nationwide. The number of invention patents ranked 7th nationwide and 1st in Central China.

Statistics showed that during 5 years from 2008 to 2012, the patent application quantity was on the rise, 11 times as many as that in 2008, ranking 1st nationwide by growth rate. In 2012, more than 2400 enterprises applied 12 thousand innovation patents.
