Moldova Decreased Natural Gas Purchase for 6,1%
OREANDA-NEWS. November 22, 2013. According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency, in monetary terms, an amount of the gas purchased by Moldova declined 4.6% to MDL 3 billion 285.5 million.
In January-September, 2013 as compared with the same period of 2012, gas consumption in Moldova decreased 3.4% to 641 million cu m in physical terms and 1.7% to MDL 3 billion 922.4 million in monetary ones. Within the first 9 months of 2013, the population of Moldova reduced the gas consumption by 6.1% to 194.4 million cu m in natural terms and 4.5% to MDL 1 billion 285 million in monetary ones. Energy sector enterprises used 269.2 million cu m of gas amounting to MDL 1 billion 522.2 million.
In natural terms, the consumption decreased 5%, declining 3.3% in monetary ones. The gas consumption by budget-funded entities declined 12.7% to 28.6 million cu m in natural terms and 11.25 to MDL 186 million in monetary ones. At the same time, enterprises of non-energy sector of the national economy increased the gas consumption by 5.9% to 148.8 million cu m in natural terms and 8% to MDL 929.1 million in monetary ones.
