ABBYY and Fujitsu Moved Up to Higher Weight Class
OREANDA-NEWS. ABBYY, a leading provider of document recognition, data capture and linguistic technologies and services, has had a regular presence at the Gitex Technology Week for several years in a row. This year, ABBYY exhibited in the Hardware Section together with its strategic hardware partner, PFU Imaging Solutions Europe Limited, a Fujitsu company, thus bringing more value to the customers looking for the total solutions for their businesses.
ABBYY has intrigued visitors with the new versions of its flagship enterprise products - ABBYY FlexiCapture and ABBYY Recognition Server. Both solutions were demonstrated using the new Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600 scanner, so that the visitors were able to experience the whole process from scanning paper documents to extracting relevant data from them.
“In 2012, we came up with the Arabic OCR SDK which offered the best accuracy to speed ratio on the market and broke the industry stereotype that Arabic recognition technology had not yet reached a level high enough to comply with the needs of massive document capture and data entry projects”, says Igor Shkamratov, Business Development Manager for the Middle East & Africa, ABBYY.
This year, ABBYY went even further showcasing the exclusive product on the Middle East market - Arabic Data Capture technology designed for automatic data extraction from various types of documents of complex structure and flexible layout, targeted at both vertical and horizontal markets. “Our customers and partners, who were lucky to be the first to witness ABBYY Arabic Data Capture in action, were highly enthusiastic to see various out-of-the-box solutions customized to their specific needs like, for example, automatic processing of the UAE ID cards” evaluated Mr. Shkamratov the visitors' response. “We are happy to get more and more feedback on our work in order to bring even more value to our customers.”
