OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2013. The newly elected Governor of Oran Province conducted an inspection visit to the jobsite of Oran Stadium Project, which was designed with an audience capacity of 40,000 persons and contracted by the Metal Structure Company of the 22nd China Metallurgical Construction Group (22MCC Group) in Algeria.

General Manager Guo Yong of Algerian Branch of 22MCC Group and the Employer’s Representative accompanied the Governor during the visit.

This was the first time for the new Governor to inspect all the major projects under construction in Oran Province. As the first stop of the Governor’s visit, Oran Stadium is regarded as one of the landmark sport facilities in the Province and even in the whole country
After seeing the physic progress of the project and the design sketch of Oran Stadium, the Governor received the interview of the local media agencies. He expected that the 1st phase of the Stadium could be completed as soon as possible, and the 2nd phase could be started soon basing upon the sufficient preparation work.

Oran Stadium is located is located in the Economic Technology Development Zone of Oran City, covering a land area of 290,000 square meters and a floorage area of 59,000 square meters. The Stadium, with a capacity of 40,000 seats, consists of the sports venue, the bleachers, the football field, the plastic runway and the other auxiliary sports facilities. After completion, it will turn out to be the largest stadium in Algeria.
