OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2013. There was a meeting of Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Maxym Rayko with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine Wolf Dietrich Heim.

"We are ready to define the scope for partnership in the field of law, in which we could actively share experiences," the Ambassador of Austria to Ukraine Wolf Dietrich Heim said.

During the meeting it was stressed that such channels for cooperation between the Ministries of Justice of both countries and judicial authorities could be interesting in the future.

The parties also discussed the probable cooperation within the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA).

"This initiative is important for Ukraine, and we will study it thoroughly, because the fight against corruption is one of the prerogative directions of the Ministry of Justice," Deputy Minister of Justice of Ukraine Maxym Rayko said.

Wolf Dietrich Heim presented at the meeting famous work of Austrian legal theorist Professor Hans Kelsen "On the Nature and Value of Democracy," which was published in Ukrainian translation.

Maxym Rayko thanked the Embassy of Austria in Ukraine for educational work in legislative sphere.

The parties expressed their willingness to continue to pursue interesting and mutual beneficial cooperation.
