OREANDA-NEWS. November 21, 2013. The adoption of the Law of Ukraine on Power Systems engineering will expand access to domestic renewable energy market to foreign investors, which will also be the impetus for the development of domestic production and improving the investment climate.

This was started by director of the development of the Ministry of Economic Development Oleg Pendzyn.

Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine has prepared amendments to the Law of Ukraine on Power Systems engineering, which include reducing the size of the share of "local" component in determining the "green" tariff for renewable energy, particularly those that will produce electricity from wind energy, solar energy, biomass and biogas.

According to him, the reduction of the "local" component from 50% to 25% with the use of "green" tariff would facilitate implementation by Ukraine of WTO agreements and international obligations of Ukraine.
