OREANDA-NEWS. The interregional conference “Quality is the Basis of Competitiveness of the Modern Automotive Industry” will be held at the IT-park of Naberezhnye Chelny on November 20-21, 2013. The event is organized by OJSC KAMAZ, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Group of Independent Companies Povolzhsky Quality Center.

Ildar Mingaleev, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of Tatartsan; Yury Klochkov, First Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ – Executive Director; and Yury Gusakov, First Vice-President of the All-Russian Quality Organization, the representative of EFQM in Russia, are expected to participate in the conference. It is planned to sign an agreement between the Ministry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the office of EFQM in Russia, and also to present OJSC KAMAZ with EFQM’s Recognized for Excellence Certificate.

On the first day of the conference, the participants will hear a number of addresses on global patterns of modern management and issues of their application in Russia, potential of enterprises of the automobile cluster to generate a technical regulation system, the significance of quality control for successful operation of business.

It is planned to hold round table meetings, work in breakup groups, and also visit the automobile plant of OJSC KAMAZ and joint ventures – ZF KAMA and CUMMINS KAMA – on the second day. The topics of the round table meetings are “Quality is the Basis for Steady Development of Society. Self-Assessment of Business Activities as an Instrument of Competitive Recovery in the Market”, “The Guidelines of Development of Suppliers of the Automotive Industry”, and “Certification of Management Systems for Compliance with ISO/TS 16949 Requirements”.
