OREANDA-NEWS. The United Metallurgical Company (CJSC OMK, Moscow) participated in the Metal-Expo 2013 International Industrial Exhibition held in Moscow's All-Russian Exhibition Center from November 12th to the 15th.

The Metal-Expo is the largest exhibition in Russia and CIS that brings together representatives of leading metallurgical companies and plants, oil and gas companies, and other specialists from the real sector of the economy. This year, 750 companies from 35 countries worldwide participated in the event and over 30,000 people visited it. The exhibition included over 50 conferences, seminars, and round-table discussions.

The United Metallurgical Company's stand attracted the most attention of the exhibition's guests. Over 4 days, 30 sale specialists from the company and its enterprises were there working. The Metal-Expo organizing committee awarded OMK a memorable goblet for the best exposition.

Vyksa Steel Works (JSC VSW, a part of OMK) was awarded the exhibition gold medal for mastering production of sheet and steel ERW LSAW pipes with external and internal polyethylene coating.

Following the results of the Best Corporate Media of Russia and CIS contest, the Vyksa Metallurgist newspaper of Vyksa Steel Works was announced the best among the corporate media of pipe plants. The circulation of its full color weekly newspaper is 14,000. It is highly appreciated and read both at the plant and in Vyksa. A joint project of OMK and National University of Science and Technology MISiS, the Metallurgy and Time multivolume edition, was honored at the contest. This illustrated book explores the history of metallurgy from the Bronze Age up to modern times. The upcoming fifth volume of the book is preparing for publication.
