OREANDA-NEWS. Flint Hills Resources has named Denzel (Denny) Wiseman as plant manager of its Port Arthur chemical facility. Jeff Tilley, formerly in the role, has been appointed to the newly created position of ventures director—responsible for the design, integration and implementation of projects and initiatives the company is evaluating for its Port Arthur facility.

“Expanding the capabilities of the site’s leadership team will allow us to continue our constant focus on safe, reliable operations, while simultaneously improving our competitive position and focus on the strategic growth of the facility,” said Phil Gaarder, vice president of operations for Flint Hills Resources. "Our Port Arthur facility has made a tremendous amount of improvement over the past several years, and more transformational changes are anticipated in the coming years.”

Wiseman brings a long career of ethylene cracker and derivatives plant leadership experience, including managing the Equistar Chemical Company’s facility in Channelview, Texas, from 2001 to 2008. Tilley's experience and perspective as site manager over the past four years make him uniquely qualified to lead a team focused on future growth opportunities in Port Arthur.
