OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2013. Serious strategic reforms in agricultural sector must ensure maximally favorable conditions for the development of every business entity. It was stated by the President at the solemn meeting on the occasion of the Day of Agricultural Workers.

"We are focused on serious strategic reforms in agricultural sector. Their purpose is to ensure maximally favorable conditions for the development of every business entity," the Head of State noted.

According to him, the producer of goods must always be "economically motivated" and improve the quality of products.

The Head of State stressed that the top-priority task in the agricultural sector was the restoration of irrigation agriculture in the south of Ukraine. "It will open new opportunities of expanding the production of grain cultures to 10 million tons per year," he emphasized.

According to the President, immediate improvement of the infrastructure and logistics of national agricultural market as well as bringing it to the European level are extremely essential.

"The state will increase the efficiency of support for agricultural production in conditions of global economic instability and restricted financial resources," Viktor Yanukovych said.

He added that the priorities of the state policy would be the support for stockbreeding, creation of conditions for organic production, development of financial and technical leasing, support for farms and agricultural service cooperatives.
