Moldovan Cabinet Approves List of Assets for Privatisation
OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2013. The government approved a list of public sector property assets that are to be put up for privatisation at an investment tender on the basis of individual projects.
Deputy Prime Minister, Economics Minister Valeriu Lazar said that 13 assets had been included in the list. Among them there are the joint ventures Barza Alba, Aroma, Tutun-CTC, Retele Electrice de Distributie Nord (North Power Distribution Networks), Retele Electrice de Distributie Nord-Vest (North-West Power Distribution Networks), Centrala Electrica de Termoficare Nord (North Thermal Electric Power Station), the Chisinau-based circus and the Moldtelecom company.
The draft law sees the selection of independent consultants, who will work out individual privatisation projects and prepare the above-mentioned joint ventures for privatisation.
A commission for organising trade and investments contests for turning private public assets will be in charge of organising and carrying out contests for selecting consultants.
