OREANDA-NEWS. November 19, 2013. Incheon International Airport Corporation is spending a very prosperous autumn, getting awarded at Aviation Marketing, Commercial Marketing, Sustainability Management and other fields on domestic and international award ceremonies.

In Aviation Marketing field, ‘The First Prize at Aviation Marketing’ was awarded at ‘The World Route Development Forum 2013’ hosted by UBM Live on October 7th in Las Vegas, USA. It was the following results of the ‘Best Airport Award’, received at ‘TTG Travel Awards 2013’ held on October 3rd in Bangkok, Thailand. UBM Live collects and analyses the aviation-related data all over the world, provides consulting service and annually awards the most outstanding airport in the field of aviation marketing, which showed great performance records and innovations.

Incheon Airport, 2 years in a row, was awarded with ‘The First Prize at Aviation Marketing’ in the ‘50 million and less passengers’ nomination. This is especially highly evaluated since this award contributed into the increase of Incheon Airport’s global status and global marketing capability. In particular, the attraction of new airline partners, hosting of CAPA Asian Low-Cost Carrier(LCC) conference, transfer package promotion, overseas transfer briefing session, free Transfer Tour and other innovative marketing activities brought the highest record of visitors and transfer passengers and were highly evaluated. In Commercial Marketing Field, ‘THe Best Duty- Free in the World’ was awarded to AIRSTAR Avenue, Incheon Airport’s Duty-Free shop, at ‘Business Traveller Asia Pacific Award 2013’ ceremony hosted on September 27th, in Hong Kong.

This Award ceremony was hosted by ‘Business Traveller’, world-wide recognized business travel oriented magazine publishing company, which held a survey among 35,000 of their readers all over the world from April to June of this year. AIRSTAR Avenue was honored by this prize for the 3 consecutive years. The excellence of Incheon Airport’s AIRSTAR Avenue was proven once more by receiving ‘The Best Duty-Free of the Year’ award on October 23rd in Cannes, France.

In Sustainability Management field, ‘Top ranked KSI Enterprise Award’ for the 4 years in a row was awarded to Incheon Airport Corporation on October 16th. On October 23rd, Incheon Airport won the First Prize by Korea Management Association in Sustainability Report Sector for Public Enterprises and the Green Official Commendation awarded by Ministry of Environment on October 29th. KSI is the index of social responsibility, based on global standard of ISO 26000, which every enterprise in the world should pursue. This index evaluates performance level of social responsibility and sustainability of 180 businesses in 45 types of representative domestic enterprises.
