Rosoboronexport Will Present Equipment and Weapons at Milipol Paris
OREANDA-NEWS. Rosoboronexport, part of the Rostec State Corporation, will demonstrate special small arms and special equipment at the MILIPOL 2013 Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security to be held from 19 to 22 November in Paris.
The Company will showcase equipment for special operation forces (Tigr armored car, BTR-80A armored personnel carrier, Mangust boat) and technical means for building integrated land and sea border surveillance systems as well as security systems for sensitive sites. It is expected that foreign delegations will pay increased attention to noiseless and flashless sniper rifles and submachine guns, GM-94 and 6G30 special grenade launchers firing non-lethal ammunition.
Most of the special equipment offered for export has been used successfully by Russian law enforcement agencies. Its effectiveness and reliability contribute to steady annual growth in export deliveries and expansion in sales geography.
“Rosoboronexport alone is presenting more than 70 modern models of weapons and equipment for special operation units. TsNIITOCHMASH, IZHMASH, and Tula Arms Plant, too, have their own major booths. Such a large-scale participation of the Russian delegation in the exhibition will allow would-be partners to get acquainted with a substantial number of military products in this market segment,” - said Valery Varlamov, Head of Rosoboronexport's Security Department, who leads the Company's delegation at the exhibition.
During the exhibition, Rosoboronexport will also hold negotiations with leading European defense companies, particularly with Nexter Group, SAFRAN and THALES on industrial cooperation, technology transfer and localizing production of some components for electro optical and thermal imaging systems in Russia.
