OREANDA-NEWS. November 18, 2013. Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has commissioned the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization together with the concerned structures to elaborate the State Target scientific technical program “The development of advanced technologies and creation of a component basis of microwave electronics for 2014-2018”.

The head of the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization Volodymyr Semynozhenko informed.

According to him, pursuant to the commission of the Head of Government the draft concept of the State Program must be elaborated in a month’s term.

Volodymyr Semynozhenko emphasized that apart from the State Agency for Science, Innovations and Informatization, specialists of Ministry of Industrial Policy, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Ukroboronprom state concern will be involved in this activity. In elaboration of the project of the concept there will participate also specialists of enterprises, scientific institutions and higher educational institutions that have solutions in the area of microwave electronics.

According to him, analysis of the state of creation and production in Ukraine of equipment and devices with use of technologies of microwave frequencies proves that our country has considerable solutions in the mentioned sphere. This experience can be used for processing of information (television, radiolocation, communication, new directions in medicine and biology etc) and for energy conversion (acceleration of charged particles, plasma heating, dielectrics, solar energy conversion).

“Technologies on the basis of use of microwave frequencies are critically important for production and military equipment and arms, products for civil purposes,” Volodymyr Semynozhenko noted.
