OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian-Chinese Industrial Park (Smolevichi, Minsk Region) will draw Br11.5 billion (USD 1.247 million) in investments in 2013, a representatives of the Belarusian government told.

The money will be invested in the development of external engineering networks beyond the borders of the Industrial Park. They part to start building internal networks and power lines in May 2014.

The list of potential residents of the Industrial Park includes Russia's F-Sintez pharmaceutical company, China's Great Wall and ZTE Corporation, Latvia's Grindex AB.

As previously reported, Belarus' President Alexander Lukashenko signed ordinance #253 on June 5, 2012 to establish the shareholding structure of the management company that controls the development of the Belarusian-Chinese industrial park in Smolevichi.

According to the ordinance, Belarus will own a 40% stake in the authorized capital of the Belarusian-Chinese company.

The ordinance positions the industrial park in Smolevichi District (Minsk Region), where a special economic area will be established on an area of 8,048 ha subject to special legal regulations for a period of 50 years. The industrial park will host business projects in electronics, biomedicine, fine chemistry and mechanical engineering, which resident companies enjoying lucrative tax preferences.

The Economy Ministry of Belarus has estimated that as much as USD 5-6 billion will be invested in infrastructural development of the Industrial Park in the next 10-15 years. The total value of the project is estimated at USD 30 billion.
