OREANDA-NEWS.  In January-September of 2013 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred 25.9 mln. rubles for the implementation of measures aimed at decrease of negative effect on environment of territories adjacent to the port.
 
Funds were transferred for control of observation of norms and requirements of environmental and sanitary legislation, monitoring of quality of water, maintenance of water treatment facilities and treatment of waste water.
 
Within the reporting period the company carried out works on disposal of consumption and production wastes, including recordkeeping of volumes of wastes, monitoring of places for temporary storage of wastes and removal.
