OREANDA-NEWS. November 15, 2013. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Voronezh region (Voronezh OFAS Russia) fined “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Voronezh” OJSC over 300,000 Rubles for abusing market dominance.

Voronezh OFAS Russia found that “Gazprom Gazoraspredelenie Voronezh” OJSC violated the antimonopoly law by unreasonable refusing to issue technical conditions for connecting residential houses to the gas-distribution network. Violating the deadlines specified in the Rules for determining and providing technical conditions for connecting capital construction facilities to engineering networks infringed the interests of residents.

“Timely issuing technical conditions for connecting to gas networks is very important for consumers because it is directly related to receiving full gas –supplying services. In this sense only antimonopoly bodies can promptly protect consumer interests for connecting to gas networks”, pointed out the Acting Head of Voronezh OFAS Russia, Sergey Mikhin.
