OREANDA-NEWS. The delegation of NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport participated in the 4th International Air Cargo Business Development Forum AirCargoForum 2013, hosted at the end of October in Moscow. The forum was organized with the support of the Ministry of Transport of Russia and Logistics Committee of the Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce with NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport announced as a partner of the event.

The forum panels attracted representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport, Federal Customs Service, the Federal Transportation Inspection Service (Rostransnadzor), the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service (Rosselhoznadzor) and other federal government agencies, International Air Transport Association (IATA), the International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), airports' management, cargo terminals, freight agents and operators, air carriers, IT-providers as well as industry experts.

GR Director of Airport Tolmachevo JSC Kirill POKROVSKIY presented his report on the topic “Postal hub project realization at NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport”. In his presentation Kirill POKROVSKIY noted the intensive growth dynamics of cargo traffic at Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport and emphasized that the principal objectives of the project are optimization of cargo delivery time and realization of transit potential of Russia in the global postal market.

NOVOSIBIRSK International Airport is the largest transit air hub in the Asian part of Russia. The airport has two runways, provides handling services of regular cargo flights for both Russian and foreign airlines such as AirBridgeCargo, Volga-Dnepr, Cargolux, Nordic Global Airlines, Yangtze River Express and others. Capacity of the freight complex Tolmachevo Cargo makes up 50,000 tons per year.

The annual international AirCargoForum in Russia is a key event for the global air cargo market participants whose activities are closely linked to the air cargo transportation on the routes within the Russian Federation territory. The forum highlights the world's best practices of IATA e-Cargo standards implementation, methods of regulatory and legal environment liberalization and unification of e-Freight standards for various transport types according to the current trends of the global aviation market.
